I ran into an interesting paragraph at Family Security Matters. I’ve run across their site a couple of times and don’t find their views particularly useful, but I was intrigued by this article by Frank Hill, in which he suggested that we should stop blaming others for so many of our troubles.

Here’s the paragraph — it’s worth analyzing because of the power inside these two simple sentences:

There is a lot of debate at the monet accoss the USA as to whether medical marijuana should be legalized. This is great to see as this is the first step wowards legalization of medical marijuana. Maybe one day marijuana would also get legalized just like alcohol and tobacco.

However there is very little debate on the legalization of medical Cannabis, outside the USA. Therefore I thought I would share the personal view of one of our German readers on legalizing Marijuana:

While we are saturated with assertions that cannabis causes psychotic mental illness, prohibitionists always act as if the evidence is concrete and stay very quiet about the very small numbers of users who actually have the disease.

And the numbers are very small. A new UK study looked at it the other way around -- How many people would you have to prevent from using cannabis to prevent one case of Schizophrenia?
